Q: Where is TISOL?
A: TISOL is located in Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea
Q: Who owns the school?
A: The school is owned and operated by The International Education Agency of Papua New Guinea (IEA)
Q: Who is the school for?
A: Any student from Pre School to Grade Six
Q: What is the curriculum that you use?A: The IEA has developed its own internationally compatible curriculum based on recent curricula used in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Papua New Guinea.

Q: What ages can children start at the school?A: Usually from five years old in the Primary School - children need to be five by the 31st March to start Prep that year. Children can join the Early Years programme from 2 years of age.

Q: What is the Grade structure?A: Our first Grade in the Primary School is Prep followed by Grade 1 up to Grade 7. The structure is in line with many Australian states including NSW and Victoria. The Grade numbers are simply a reference system and may be different to that from other school systems.
Q: How are children allocated to a Grade?A: Through a combination of age and previous schooling experience we aim to find the correct class for your child. see our enrolment information.

Q: Won't my child suffer from being in different Grade to that in their current school?A: This is an often asked question and in all honesty in our experience the answer is categorically no. This is often a much greater concern for parents than it is for students. Grades are an administrative arrangement and do not correlate with precise developmental learning stages.

Q: What are the school fees? A: These are set each year and can be paid annually or termly.

Q: What is the school uniform? A: We have a uniform which can be purchased from the school
Q: What books will my child need for school?A: It is not necessary to bring any specific books as we provide all educational materials. Children often like to have their own pencils, pens and crayons at school. Some home reference books would be helpful, such as a dictionary
